Anticipation of New Hunger Games Movie

After almost eight years since the ending of the Hunger Games trilogy, a new movie is being made about the series’ prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. It is expected to be released in November of this year and the internet has mixed reactions.

After a somewhat relieving ending to the 4th movie, nobody was expecting a new book, and definitely not a new movie. But out popped a prequel by Suzzane Collins, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. 

The release of the book was completely unexpected, so a lot of people weren’t expecting a movie to come from it, but were surprised to see a fifth movie set to be released this year. 

The new movie is set 64 years before the events of The Hunger Games trilogy. It will star Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, Viola Davis, and Peter Dinklage.

The internet has strong opinions about the new movie. “I’m so excited for the new HG movie,” one Twitter user wrote. “Someone tell me why they’re making a hunger games movie 8 years later?,” another wrote. “this hg movie gonna suck tell me i’m wrong.” 

Whatever the media’s opinions may be, it seems that film director Francis Lawrence and the cast have been working hard on this movie, and Suzzane Collins on new books for The Hunger Games series.
