Final Destination has been one of the most popular horror movies of all time. But now, 14 years after the 5th Final Destination movie, a 6th movie is coming May 16, 2025. It’s more exciting and scary than the others.
Fourteen years later, “Final Destination 5” made a bloody splash in theaters, the trailer for the newest addition to the long running- horror franchise, which is called “Final Destination: Bloodline,” is going to be released in time for the series 25- year anniversary.
The “Final Destination” franchise began in 2000 with the plots being about young people who get a strange premonition of a deadly event in their lives, such as a car crash or something big landing on them. Although, the franchise has grown nearly $700 million worldwide so far.
Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein previously worked together on the movie “Kim Possible” and “Freaks.” This sixth film marks Lipovsky and Stein’s entry into “Final Destination,” continuing the franchise of the famous movies.
While specific plot details for “Final Destination: Bloodlines” are kept under wraps, the trailer promises more bloody omens and deaths. The cast includes Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Max Lloyd, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tinpo Lee.
Like the old Final Destination movies, the trailers are usually scary and chaotic. Larra Lynch said, “I loved how the movies always had a thrillery vibe to it.” The trailer looks scarier and unexpected unlike the others. The trailer starts with a man giving a client a painful tongue piercing before giving himself a tattoo. As he works, he doesn’t realize a series of chain reactions that unfold and ultimately results in his death. A chain from the ceiling falls, attaches itself to the man’s nose ring, gets wrapped around a fan and pulls him up by the nose as a fire breaks out beneath him. As he gets wound up, the ceiling fan crashes, which leads to the man going into the fire.
Students at Central High School are hoping to see more action and chaos in the new Final Destination: Bloodlines. For example, Larra Lynch, a student at Central High school said, “I’m excited for the new characters and excited about the action and thriller feeling in the movie. ” In the trailer it has more madness than the others.
While the fifth movie notably ended with a surprise twist as a prequel to the other films, it remains unclear if the movie “Final Destination: Bloodlines” is a direct sequel to the other movies or is an all around reboot.
This movie will be released by Warner Bros. on May 16th, 2025. You can watch it at any nearby theaters.
