Are you interested in Japanese animation or manga? Possibly you don’t know much about anime/manga, but you feel interested in exploring something new or learning more about it? Or do you know a lot about anime/manga and want to meet people with the same interests as you with just the same level of passion for the subject? Look no further than the Anime Club!
President Hazel Leakey, a freshman at Central High School, stated in an interview, “It’s a fun experience that anyone who is interested in anime can enjoy! Before I continue with this interview I would like to thank my lovely vice president, the fantastic treasurer, and my wonderful secretary. All three of them have been an extraordinary help for the anime club. I don’t know what I would do without those kiddos, in the creation of the club. As the president I am honored to create something beautiful!”
When asked about the activities, Leakey said, “Oh, yes. I have tons of things planned for the anime club. We will be doing tons of fun activities! Such as making our own manga/anime OC’s, manga art/coloring. We listen to anything presented for activities! Some suggestions are cooking, anime trivia, anime bingo, etc.!”
When questioned about whether the club would show animes, Leakey stated, “Yes, Of course. It is the anime club after all. Half the time in the anime club, we’ll be doing cool activities and the other half, we’ll be watching some anime that will be suggested by the people of the anime club”
Finally, Leakey stated, “The anime club will start at 3:30-5pm. Sometimes it can be before 5pm as well. And the anime club will occur in the library for each session or meeting!”
Well, you heard it from the president herself. If this club sounds interesting, make sure to join!
