In the new part of Outer Banks season four, the Pogues (Cleo, JJ, John B, Kiara, Pope, and Sarah) are now trying to finish their hunt to find the blue crown. The crown used to belong to Blackbeard’s wife Elizabeth, though was taken from her once Elizabeth was murdered. The pogues have dug themselves into a very deep hole. Though no matter how much trouble they went through, they didn’t lose hope in finding the treasure.
If you haven’t watched Outer Banks season four part one, here’s a quick recap. So it starts with the Pogues trying to have a somewhat “normal” life, until an older man named Wes, who no one knew, came up to the Pogues and asked for help to find blackbeard’s treasure. Little did they know what they had to go through to even find the small ship wreck. So now that you’re mostly caught up let’s get into it.
To start off part two JJ and his father Luke are having a conversation on the lighthouse and Luke is telling JJ why he was back on the Outerbanks because he had left back in season two because he was a wanted felon. JJ had always been put through so much throughout his childhood. With either Luke abusing him or him just being a broke kid that didn’t have a safe place to go, until him and his friends built a sturdy home for him. Though Luke drops a bomb shell on JJ saying that the guy he and the Pogues were working with was actually his biological father, meaning Luke was not his actual father. JJ at the time did not believe Luke and made a run for it down the lighthouse and back to where he and the pogues lived.
The next week the Pogues had to go to court to try and save their house because they now moved the border lines of figure eight and the cut so then as they move the area borders it would suddenly get way too expensive for the Pogues to pay for bills, taxes, etc. They lose the court battle and now they will have to sell their house and business. The Pogues had spent so much time and gave so much effort to build their house from the ground up. With JJ handling everything with his father now the house being sold you would think sooner than later if you were in JJ’s shoes you would lose it. After the court hearing happens the Pogues and the Kooks get into a huge fight, though unlike past season, JJ walks out and heads to downtown. By the time he gets to downtown, the police and the Pogues are searching for him. Because of everything JJ had been put through, he had broke all the doors and windows in downtown and even started a fire. JJ then goes to find his supposedly “father” Groff at goat island.
Later, the Pogues are searching for JJ and Sarah is starting to feel off. So she goes into pharmacy and searches for a pregnancy test. Sarah took the test and while she is waiting for the results Kiara walks in to make sure she’s alright. When Kiara looks at the counter she sees Sarah’s test, and on the test it had two solid red lines. Both Kiara and Sarah are in shock and agreed to not tell John B or anyone else for some time. Now with JJ gone Sarah pregnant the pogues don’t know what else could possibly happen. Little do they know where JJ is. When JJ was talking to Groff on Goat Island, he had asked if he was his real father. There was a slight moment of silence. Then Groff says, “Yes JJ, I’m your father.” JJ was in shock and didn’t know what to do besides run with his dad to find the blue crown. A fan, Haley Helm that attend Central High School says, “I wish JJ would have told the Pogues his plan before running off so then the Pogues could help him get away. I also wish that JJ would be able to figure out that Groff isn’t who he thinks he is.”
Another student at Central High School Molly Kloppel agrees with Helm saying, “JJ needed to be more open with the Pogues. After all he always says they’re his family though he doesn’t act like they are in season four.” So then while the Pogues are trying to search for JJ Groff and JJ go to Morocco to find the blue crown. Though JJ would soon find out who his so-called “father” is. Groff gets into a heated argument with JJ and begins to push JJ off the boat and then drives his boat away from JJ leaving him in the ocean.
The Pogues then get word that JJ is in the ocean off the coast of the Outerbanks. They scan for hours searching for him and they successfully find him. JJ then tells the Pogues what Gorff was up to and that he had teamed up with the people that tried to kill JJ and Kiara in the first part of season four of Outerbanks. The pogues then go back to the Outerbanks and while they are driving Sarah begins to tell John B about the baby. John B is excited though a little anxious because he has never thought about being a dad before. Once the Poguesarrive to the Outerbanks they begin looking for a boat that can get across the ocean. They though land upon Rafe’s boat, Rafe though was also trying to look for Groff so the Poguesand Rafe set off the find Groff. When the Pogues arrive at Morocco they search everywhere for Groff. Though while they are looking for Groff, they find the spot where the blue crown is found at. The pogues then split up. John B and Sarah go to help Rafe, Pope and Cleo are holding back people that are also looking for the crown, and Kiara and JJ go for the crown. When they finally get the blue crown they begin to run back down to the village where the rest of the pogues are. Though on their way down, they run into Groff. While JJ isn’t looking Groff grabs Kiara and begins to strangle her. That’s when JJ turned around and told Groff if you kill her you’ll never get the crown. Groff then grabs the crown and lets JJ go. Though Groff turns back around and told JJ, “You should’ve helped me while you had the chance.” Then Groff percides to stab JJ to his death with Kiara holding him in her arms. Many people are very sad about his death though many people think it could be good. Kloppel says, “While I am sad about his death, it was time for him to go. With that being said, I think the pogues are gonna go crazy and I think Kiara won’t stop until she finds Groff. I also think that the pogues and Rafe will team up on finding Groff.” Helm also agrees with her by saying, “Im kinda happy that happened so then we can see a different side of the pogues.”
Overall this season was probably one of their best ones as people say, though it will probably make you cry too. You can watch all the Outerbanks seasons on Netflix.
