Starbucks Holiday Drink Ratings

Starbucks Holiday Drink Ratings

Sarah Jacobson

Every year, Starbucks offers a variety of holiday-themed drinks. These drinks are typically available from late November to early January. I went to try some of them out and am here to let you know which ones are worth the buy!

Peppermint Chocolate Mocha Creme Frappuccino

Peppermint Chocolate Mocha Creme Frappuccino: 10/10

This drink was really refreshing! I thought the peppermint and chocolate flavors went together really well. The mint isn’t too strong and leaves a pleasantly refreshing aftertaste. It wasn’t too sweet either, as the mint flavor did a really good job of balancing with the chocolate flavor, making it more semi-sweet. Overall, I felt that it gave off that desired holiday feeling. If you enjoy the combination of chocolate and mint flavors, I would definitely recommend this drink.

Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte

Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte: 2/10
When I saw that Starbucks was turning their Christmas sugar cookie into a drink, I had high hopes for this one. This drink unfortunately did not meet them, and was the worst out of the holiday drinks that I tried. It did not taste like a sugar cookie at all, and the combination of the very strong coffee taste and almond milk made for an unpleasantly bitter flavor. The sugar cookie sprinkles on top were a nice touch, but it was overall not worth the hype or the money, and it did not feel like a holiday beverage.

Toasted White Hot Chocolate

Toasted White Hot Chocolate: 7/10
This drink was good overall. It had a very sweet taste distinctive of white chocolate, and the whipped cream with peppermint sprinkles on top was a nice addition. However, the white chocolate flavor takes over pretty much the entire drink, which I wasn’t a huge fan of. Overall, however, this drink gave off good holiday vibes. If you are a fan of white hot chocolate, this is definitely worth trying.

Caramel Brulee Latte

Caramel Brulee Latte: 9/10
I thought this drink tasted surprisingly really good. The creaminess of the caramel coffee and the whipped cream with caramel brulee topping is amazing. The sweetness gives off that holiday feeling, and it’s a great treat to enjoy while relaxing or going holiday shopping. Although it is a little too sweet for an everyday drink, I was overall really pleased with the combination of the coffee and caramel flavors.

Overall, I thought most of these drinks tasted really good and gave off those holiday feelings. If you have time over the holidays, take a trip to Starbucks and try some of these amazing drinks!
