Champaign Central and Centennial face off in the first of two bragging rights games for boy’s basketball on January 12th, 2024 at Central’s Harry Combes Gym. For over 50 years, Central and Centennial have faced off in what has become one of the most intense high school rivalries in Illinois. After a back and forth throughout the entire game, Centennial would pull off late in the fourth quarter to secure the victory, defeating Central by a score of 61-52.
